I upgraded from Windows 8. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace. I tried the three steps suggested in this article, but none resolved the issue. The error is still occurring. I ended up finding a fix on this thread. I have the same problem. I upgraded from Windows 7 Home to Windows 10 yesterday. I do know that the updates were working right after the upgrade because when turned it of last night it installed updates and then when I booted it up this morning it configured updates on bootup.
